Give Don’t Take Sunday
This month’s “Give Don’t Take” Sunday will be held on June 17. We are donating animal food to Hands That Helo RI. Items needed include cockatoo bird food, cat food, kitty litter, and dog food.
Church Picnic
The annual church picnic will be held on Sunday, June 10 at 12 noon at Brightman’s Farm.
Children’s Day – Sunday, June 3
The third graders will recieve bibles and recent graduates will be recognized. Events will begin at 9 a.m. This will also be the last day for all Sunday School classes.
HELP WANTED – Nursery Care
Caregivers needed during the summer months, June 10 – September 2 during the morning worship service (8:50 – 10:10 a.m.). Must be at least 16 years of age. Priority will be given to those over 18. Applications are available on the Board of Christian Education Bulletin Board in the Vestry.
Secret Place Available
The March, April, and May issue of The Secret Place is available on the table at the rear of the sanctuary, or in the church office. Large print copies are also available. Suggested donation: $1.00.
Reading Through the Bibile
The next gathering for Reading Through the New Testament – is May 27th at 1pm. We will have a lite lunch at 12:30 and then discuss questions and insights. We will finish NO LATER than 2:30 pm.
Beacon Mailing
The next issue of the Beacon will be mailed on Tuesday, May 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. Material must be in the Church Office by Monday, May 21 to be included.
Counters Needed:
The Board of Finance needs several new counters. See our new chairs of the Finance Board Rob Bellows or Bob Rossi, or call the church if you are able to volunteer in this way.
