Our Message

Our message is that God has shown His love most clearly by sending Jesus to rescue us and change the world.  One of the best known statements in the Bible puts it like this: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”  (John 3:16)

We invite you to check out this brief outline of what this message can mean for you personally.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people of every ethnic group trust in and follow Jesus.  We do that both directly by our words and actions and indirectly by our prayer and giving.

Our mission is based on Jesus' instructions to

"make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).

Our Mandate

When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He said it was to love God with all that we are.  He then added that a second commandment just like it was to love our neighbors as ourselves.  (Matthew 22:34-40)  We recognize the need to prioritize loving God and loving others.

Our Mindset

Our central beliefs (Essentials)  are important, but our goal is to share these essentials in a respectful, loving way.  We want people to be able to think things through and come to a solid conclusion about what they believe.

We recognize that there are lots of issues on which God gives us freedom…including the freedom to disagree with one another.  We seek to deal with debatable issues (Convictions and Preferences) with humility and grace rather than insisting that people conform.
